Petra, the rose city — by boat
Across the Gulf of Aqaba, the Siq and the façade of the Nabataean Treasury. Passport required.
The excursion
A night departure for Taba, Egyptian exit formalities, then the sea crossing to Aqaba. Transfer to Petra and the walk down the Siq, the mile-long cleft that opens onto the Khazneh. The Jordanian group visa is arranged for you, but a passport valid for six months is essential — an identity card will not do.
