Ras Mohammed by boat
The richest national park in the Red Sea for fish — a full day by boat with lunch on board.
The excursion
Out of the harbour towards the southern tip of Sinai, where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba. Three anchorages in turn: Shark Observatory and its vertical wall, the sheltered lagoon of White Island, then Yolanda Reef, where the cargo of a freighter wrecked in 1980 lies scattered over the coral. The park has been protected since 1983, and the density of fish is nothing like the reefs off Naama Bay.
