Three countries from a single base

This is what sets Sharm apart from any other seaside resort: in a single day you can reach Egypt, Jordan, Israel. Petra one morning, the Red Sea the next. No other beach destination offers that.

What you can reach, and how long it takes

Why this is unusual

Sharm sits at the tip of Sinai, between the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba. That position puts Jordan one sea crossing away, Israel one land border away, and the rest of Egypt an hour by air.

A Red Sea resort on the mainland side — Hurghada, Marsa Alam — has none of this: Petra and Jerusalem are out of reach in a day.

What that means in practice: a week in Sharm can combine diving, desert, a Nabataean city and the pyramids, without ever changing hotel or repacking. That is the point of our seven-day programmes.

What to know beforehand

  • Petra and Jerusalem require a passport valid for six months — an identity card is not enough.
  • The Jordanian group visa is handled for Petra.
  • These trips leave at night and are booked several days ahead: up to 15 days for Egypt in six days.
  • The crossing to Aqaba is suspended in heavy seas.
